چکیده

In this paper we give an algorithm to generate all distributions of distinguishable objects to bins without repetition. Our algorithm generates each distribution in constant time. To the best of our knowledge, our algorithm is the first algorithm which generates each solution in O(1) time in ordinary sense. As a byproduct of our algorithm, we get a new algorithm to enumerate all multiset partitions when the number of partitions is fixed and the partitions are numbered. In this case, our algorithm generates each multiset partition in constant time (in ordinary sense). Finally, we extend our algorithm for the case when the bins have priorities associated with them. Overall space complexity of our algorithm is O(km), where there are m bins and the objects fall into k different classes.

A New Method for Generating Continuous Bivariate Distribution Families

Recently, it has been observed that a new method for generating continuous distributions, T - X family, can be quite effectively used to analyze the data in one dimension. The aim of this study is to generalize this method to two dimensional space so that the marginals would have T - X distributions. So, several examples and properties of this family have been presented. As ...

Exp-Kumaraswamy Distributions: Some Properties and Applications

In this paper, we propose and study exp-kumaraswamy distribution. Some of its properties  are derived, including the density function, hazard rate function, quantile function, moments,  skewness  and kurtosis.   Adata set isused to illustrate an application of the proposed distribution. Also, we obtain a new distribution by transformation onexp-kumaraswamy distribution.   New distribution is an...

Optimizing design of 3D seismic acquisition by CRS trace interpolation

Land seismic data acquisition in most of cases suffers from obstacles in fields which deviates geometry of the real acquired data from what was designed. These obstacles will cause gaps, narrow azimuth and offset limitation in the data. These shortcomings, not only prevents regular trace distribution in bins, but also distorts the subsurface image by reducing illumination of the target formatio...

A Method to Expand Family of Continuous Distributions based on Truncated Distributions

Abstract: A new method to generate various family of distributions is introduced. This method introduces a new two-parameter extension of the exponential distribution to illustrate its application. Some statistical and reliability properties of the new distribution, including explicit expressions for the moments, quantiles, mode, moment generating function, mean residual lifetime, stochas...

A Semi-Parametric Binning Approach to Quickest Change Detection

The problem of quickest detection of a change in distribution is considered under the assumption that the pre-change distribution is known, and the post-change distribution is only known to belong to a family of distributions distinguishable from a discretized version of the pre-change distribution. A sequential change detection procedure is proposed that partitions the sample space into a fini...
